In November 2023, I resumed my passion for art in a part-time freelance capacity after a few years of being inactive. Since then, I have been working hard to expand my portfolio and find opportunities to showcase my art to as many people as possible. I have pursued various avenues, such as social media shout-outs, magazine features, and gallery/exhibition showcases. However, many of these opportunities require submission/entry fees, and I have also had to pay registration fees for some of the courses I have taken to improve my skills. Additionally, the cost of art supplies is a constant expense. Unfortunately, the arts community has been hit hard recently due to budget cuts and funding pullbacks.
